Rachel Kaye, a Mainer by birth, was homeschooled for most of her elementary school years and all of high school. A late reader who then grew to love books passionately, she earned a B.A. in English with a minor in Creative Writing. After college, she worked as a professional blogger and copywriter and as an elementary school teacher in Taipei, Taiwan. Rachel Kaye and her husband Benjamin now live in a 135-year-old home in downtown Greer where she homeschools their daughter, daydreams in her rose garden, and cares for seven chickens and a tabby cat named Elsa.
