Karen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Bob Jones University, where a love for both music and children was kindled. At that  time, she took the opportunity to volunteer, training the youth in her church to enjoy music and sing for the Lord. Whether it was with church choral groups, general music students in public and private schools, or with her own children in her home, training children has been her  profession over the last 25 years.

Karen is relishing her time with her children as she now practices the “feast of  ideas” approach in training them to be lifelong learners. It has been Karen’s greatest joy to fulfill the role of wife  and mother in her home, supported by her husband, Bruce, and nurturing her own children, Gracie, Raelie, and Rhys.
