Diana Cockrell

Intro to High School Literature & Composition, American Literature & Composition

As long as she can remember, Diana has loved writing, which began in the second grade with a story called “The Shark” (a friendly guy who rescued swimmers instead of devouring them) and culminated a few years ago in the publication of her first novel Worth the Read (and it is!). In between those two events, she earned a degree in journalism and became a Registered Instructor for the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW). She strives to pass along the joy of writing, as well as her other love, reading. She truly believes both reading and writing are fun! When Diana isn’t working on her second book (coming soon!), she enjoys riding her motorcycle and swimming—just not at the same time.
